Out Favorite Gowns for the JAG Dine - In

These are the gowns that we have picked to be in our first photo contest at Kane Studios Photogrqaphy. The Contest will end on April 15, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. All contestants will be put on the Kane Studios Photography, Inc. facebook page in an album called "JAG Gowns" for all friends and family to vote on. All voters must like "Kane Studios photography"on facebook and they must cast their vote by liking your photo image. All likes will be counted at noon on April 15, 2012. The winner will receive a FREE 16x20 laminated AND board mounted of the image that won.....OR a Free 16x20 print , laminated and board mounted with any paid photo session at Kane Studios. These are the gowns that we will post. If you do not want to be in the contest call me and I will delete your photo. Good Luck to all of you.

Workshops

Kane Studios is now offering workshops on Sunday only. We may do a workshop once a month depending on the response by our viewers. We are excited about offering these workshops to our customers and feel that we have information that our customers will benefit from. Check the workshops out on our website. Come join us on Sunday afternoons at our beautiful property to enjoy a fun time learning interesting stuff that will benefit you personally and financially.

Harker Heights Photography class

Greg and I just taught our first photography class at the Harker Heights Library and had such a blast. It was a free class. I made 3 delicious cakes for the occassion....all sugar free and one that was almost entirely fat free. Everyone loved the cake. The library had delicious sandwhiches and rollups that were so good. And of course we had coffee. The class was from 10-2. We had such a great time we are going to do another free class in August. We have not decided which weekend yet. It will be on a Saturday. I think that we will give a class on Creating a Website for free, Placing it on google search engines and other search engines next to your competitors for free, and learn how to keep yourself there. I think I will also show the class how to make a slideshow for their website in minutes. It should be a very informative class. The class will be limited to around 20 people and each will have to bring their own laptop. Whenever we get the date set I will post it on our front page. If you are interested you will need to sign up b ec ause I have a feeling these spots will go quickly. :>)

Our New Red Velvet Chair for our Photography Studio turned out just absolutely beaufiul. I purchased it on ebay and had to drive to San Antonio to pick it up. It did not look like much but I knew it would be beautiful once it was redone. Here are the before an after images.

This was a difficult job deciding which of these gowns I liked the best. There were a total of about 25 but I felt I needed to narrow my choices down to just a few. I still had a hard time. These are my choices below.
And none in any particular order of preference.

Another Military Ball

Once again we are shooting a large military ball and once again we are very excited about it. We have been planning for weeks now discussing various ways to make the work flow smooth, easy and fast. One of our current purchases is a digital counter displaying the number we will be photographing . Our customers will not have to spend their evening at the ball waiting in long lines to get their photographs. We have beautiful flag back drops but this group wanted a western flare so below is my idea of a Western background with props. After the ball, I will post my top six favorite gowns for all to see.

I went ahead and photographed my cat Bell modeling the backdrops....it was hard to get her to sit still. Tango is the better model but he was asleep and I did not want to wake him up.

We finally got our new website up and running. It took us a long time.

As you can see we have a different look and hopefully our website will be easier for our customers to find what they are looking for. We still probably need to tweek the website a little bit more but as of now I think it is quite manageable. I hope everyone likes it better. I feel that sometime in the near future I will have more free time to actually post on this blog more often. I have a few new sample albums I need to make and after that I should have some free time. We have a new line of albums that I think everyone is going to be excited about. We should have the samples in two more weeks. As soon as we get them I will be posting them in our album section under our products website.
